Background

Wonderwick makes officially licensed, character-inspired candles and perfumes for readers who want to smell like their favorite fictional people (iykyk). The brand took off on a store that was originally DIY-ed. With a major licensing deal locked in and beautiful new branding from Drop Cap Design, it was time for the site to look as legit as the business had become. With a growing cast of characters, multiple book series, perfume formats, and a subscription, Wonderwick came to us for a fully custom Shopify site that feels like stepping into the world of the books and can keep up with every new drop.

Results

Wonderwick now has a site that feels like part of the story. Every page is built to allow the brand to enchant, with paper, plaques, gold foil, and a candlelight mode that dims the whole site, so browsing feels more like wandering through the books than a stock Shopify theme. Conversion-increasing tactics simmered with one-of-a-kind whimsical touches leave a lasting effect on visitors while managed via a backend that handles every new drop without a headache. In the 6 since launch, conversion has climbed 64%, average order value 64%, and the add-to-cart rate has jumped from 1.4% to 9%.
